Associating Raw Materials with Equipment (Bulk and Import Methods)

This method is ideal when you want to associate a group of similar products (e.g., all cardboards of a certain density) with one or more pieces of equipment without leaving the platform.

Step 1: Intelligent filtering

• Go to the Products module.

• Use the Category, Subcategory, or even Supplier filters to isolate the desired group of raw materials.

• Example: Filter for the "Raw Materials" Category and the "Offset Paper" Subcategory.

Step 2: Multiple selection

• Check the box at the top of the table (top left) to select all products displayed on the current page.

• If you have multiple pages, make sure to repeat the process or increase the number of rows displayed per page.

Step 3: Executing the group action

• Below the filter area, a toolbar for bulk actions will appear. Click on the Multiple Edit icon (usually represented by several pencils or a settings symbol).

• In the window that opens, look for the Equipment field.

• Select the equipment (or pieces of equipment) you wish to associate with the selected products.

Step 4: Saving

• Press the Save/Update button. The system will apply the change to all checked products simultaneously.

This is the recommended method for very large volumes of data or when associations are heterogeneous (different products going to different machinery).

Step 1: Exporting the current database

• Go to Products and press the Export button (or Download list).

• The system will download an Excel file containing all your products with their exact codes and names.

Step 2: Editing data in Excel

• Open the downloaded file.

• Identify the column named Equipment.

• Next to each raw material, enter the name of the equipment.

• Tip: You can use the "Find & Replace" or "Drag-and-fill" function in Excel to complete thousands of rows in a few seconds.

• Important: The equipment name in Excel must be identical to the one already defined in the platform.

Step 3: Re-importing for update

• In the platform, access the Import Products function.

• Upload the freshly saved Excel file.

Step 4: Correct field mapping (The key to success)
So that the system knows you want to update existing products, not create new ones, you must map (correlate) the columns from Excel with those in the system using the identification criteria:

1. Product Name

2. Product Code (if used)

3. Supplier

4. Warehouse

5. Equipment (this is the column that brings the new information).

Step 5: Completion

• Click on the Process Import button.

• The system will recognize the products by Name/Code/Supplier and, instead of duplicating them, will update only the "Equipment" field with the new data from Excel.
