Product imports in iflows follow these rules:

  1. New products in the file
If the products in the file do not already exist in the database, they will be added as new products without affecting existing items.

  2. Products existing in the database
If the products in the file have the same product code and management unit (gestiune) as those already in the database, the system will overwrite the existing information. The update will only occur if there are differences between the product in the database and the one in the file (for example, changes in price, description, or other details).

Important aspects:

  • Products are identified by the product CODE and the MANAGEMENT UNIT, used simultaneously. If these differ, the item will be considered new and added separately.
  • If there are no differences between the product in the database and the one in the file, the import will not make any changes to that item.

Summary:

  • Existing products with the same product code and management unit are overwritten only if differences appear.
  • Products with different codes and management units are added as new items.
